Many caregivers find it extremely difficult to find a listening ear that can understand and accept them and their family members with mental illness.
Often, they hide the fact that their loved ones are suffering from mental illness from their friends and relatives. The social stigma and fear of the mentally ill have resulted in families suffering in silence. As a result, they do not seek external help and support.
At CAMI, you will find it easy to speak about your frustrations and concerns as we too are caregivers like you who have walked down the same path and faced the same situations.

As a relatively new mutual help association, CAMI welcomes volunteers and contributions in its quest to reach out to as many caregivers as possible.
CAMI is not funded by any government agency or organization, and relies mainly on its own fund raising efforts.
