CAMI operates a free 24 hour helpline for caregivers of the mentally ill. The helpline is open to members and non members of CAMI. The helpline aims to offer information at a caregiver level on issues such as crisis management, avenues to obtain social and financial assistance, general information on mental illness, arrangements for home visits, and last but not least a listening ear. The helpline is manned by volunteer caregivers who have been trained and who understand what a caregiver goes through. English and Chinese speaking assistance is available.
